S. bound M&STL pass. hit middle of Milw. freight at Perry, Ia.. 1 man killed as he walked along side the freight on his way to work.

N. bound M&STL pass. hit center of coal car on Inter-Urban freight train at xing just S. of Perry, Ia. M&STL engineer later [Aug.1918] sued I-U for injuries. [$3,000.]

S.bound M&STL pass. train hit caboose on I-U fgt @ xing just S. of Perry, Ia. killing I-U conductor. Newspaper reported the I-U train ran a red signal, but this crossing had gates and when the I-U opened them to cross, it set a red signal for the M&STL. Somebody didn't look first. This happened in the middle of the night.
