Hello, My name is Bev Chenault and I live in Keithsburg, Illinois. I am in the process of researching the M & St L to include our history of it in a mural that my students and I are painting for the City Hall in Keithsburg. I have several photos of it from a book written by Harry C Martin, a former resident of Keithsburg. The book is a collection of stories about his life in Keithsburg as a boy in the early part of the 20th century, published by the yellow banks Heritage Association, is called A Sentimental Journey. He relates tales of his childhood near the railroad and his father also worked for M & St.L, as a watchman on the bridge. I hope you will find them interesting.
