M&StL 72009 - The prototype M&StL 72009 has some interesting
entries in the Landmesser list. The first was on 5-17-49 at Hamburg from
X-744. Then on 6-11-49 it was set out at Belview from train 74, then at
Morton by X-741. The load listed each time was hogs. My model started as a
Life Like Mathers double deck stock car. The roof was replaced with
scribed styrene. I redid the angle bracing on the ends and added a Tichy
vertical hand brake. I also removed the angled strap iron braces from the
ends of the car sides. I added new letter boards and a plague for the
herald and ladders. I made horizontal slats for the doors and reworked the
door guides. This car needed to have more side slats changed, but because
this would require removing almost all the side slats I called it good
enough.
