M&StL 26018 - This car is made from a MDC "Old-timer" series
36' truss rod car. The major change was the replacement of the roof. The
prototype cars in this series had either I-beam stiffeners on the ends or
pressed steel hat section stiffeners. I chose to model the hat section end
braces. Other changes I made to the car were removing modeled on detail
and replacing it with new made from styrene in different locations. The
car was painted with 50/50 mix of Floquil oxide red and box car red,
decals are from Westerfield.
