Watertown SD Station. The photo was taken 1987 as that was the last time I was up there. The depot has been declaired an historical place and is well preserved. The depot does sport the post M&St.L CNW Hearalds. I spent many a day watching the CNW and then the DME switch the cement plant in town and exchange grain with the BN to go to the grain elevator across town. This was when my grandparents used to live in that town. Someday I will have to return and do a little urban archeology. Last time I was there the line was in place but weed grown. Apparently the DME got into town via the BN trackage rights. I think. Frank DeVries |
